Ross McDonald
Otago Polytechnic
Director of Sustainability
At the University of Auckland I coordinated programmes in Business, Society and Culture and courses on Sustainability, Ethics, and Social Responsibility. I have worked closely with the United Nations on educating for the future and with the Royal Government of Bhutan where I helped develop educational and media policies aligned with the nation's goal of maximising Gross National Happiness (GNH). My spare time is mostly devoted to entertaining dogs, doing dodgy DIY, and writing music.
John Atkinson
Designer-at-large
I've been involved in production, design, and design management for forty years. Working for Macpac, Kathmandu, Arc'teryx and Helsport, I've been a part of many different projects and challenges, and I've had the huge privilege of managing teams of some great designers.
Nigel Bamford
Escea
CEO
My favorite thing is business, done well. Unfortunately, in a lot of companies, business is not done well. At Escea we have spent a decade making constant (and never ending) improvements to this business and our resultant success is hugely satisfying to be part of. We are well on the way to our goal of being the largest fireplace company that is based in NZ or AUS and each year we have built further on our foundation of great technology, great design, disciplined process and smart marketing.
